Snubbed him and ignored him

An elderly African American guy I knew who was president of the local NAACP chapter was so excited to greet him coming off his plane. Jesse flat snubbed him and ignored him, ignored the handshake and went on to be condescending to everyone around him with cold, penetrating eyes. Later that night watching the news, he was all smiles on TV at whatever rally he came in for. The other thing I noticed is he's a really tall guy.
