My Dad and Trent Reznor were really good friends in college and afterwards (they drifted apart long ago). He too states that he was a normal, but quiet guy. "He was the kindest, gentlest person you'd ever meet and to this day I have no idea where NIN came from. No idea he had all that pain and anguish in him."
