This doesn't really qualify as "mean" to me. Maybe if he had said "no, fuck off" or "go away before I beat the shit out of you" then it would be considered mean, but a simple "no" seems to be a relatively polite way to turn someone down when you don't want to do something. He has the right to deny people autographs when he is busy, he's a human being.
