That's not Batman!

I met Adam West when I was around the age of 4. My memory is very vague... but it was around the time the first Tim Burton Batman film came out. There was a convention somewhere near Detroit, they had the Batmobile from the film and "Batman" as my dad told me. I didn't understand that the "Batman" my dad was referring to wasn't Micheal Keaton, but Adam West. We went up to get his autograph at his booth, and I turned to my dad and said "That's not Batman!" He angrily signed my autograph and grumpily handed it to my dad. I left confused, and felt cheated. Years later I understood who he was... and felt bad for performing such a ego-defeating move such as that on him.
